The Process

In this section we will explain the process of creating your wedding film from start to finish.

I hope that you have had a chance to view our work and feel that we can offer you an amazing wedding film.

Whether you found us via a recommendation, an online forum or magazine advert the journey really begins here, on our website.

So lets start at the top, we offer three film package, The Classic Package, The Signature Package and The Cinematic package. All packages are filmed with two camera operators and use the same High Definition HDSLR cameras, so really it’s down to which package suites your needs best.

Once you have an idea of what you are interested in you can either email us or phone one of the team to check if we still have your date available and discuss which package your are interested in.

Once we have confirmed our availability we can send you one of our brochures, which contains all the information you could ever need about what we offer, including a booking form and our current price list (same as advertised on website).

The next step would be for us to set up a meeting, where we can have an informal chat about your big day. I can answer any questions you may have and you can view some of our work in the flesh on our IPad.

If at this point you wanted to go ahead and book Unique Wedding Production to film your wedding all you would have to do is fill out and send the booking form included in the brochure along with your booking deposit (£300) and bingo, we are yours lol

Once we have received your booking form and deposit we will send you your receipt, contract and music form.

Receipt – We send out an email to confirm that your deposit and booking have arrived, followed by a receipt sent to you in the post.

Contract – We send out two copies of your contract one for you to sign and keep the other for you to sign and send back to us.

Music form – Your music for will help give us an idea of your tastes and helps enable us to create a wedding film that represents your personalities. MCPS and PPL licenses are obtained by Unique Wedding Productions for the music used on all of our wedding films.

So as we get nearer to the wedding we will email you a questionnaire, the questionnaire helps us understand exactly what and where things are going to happen on the day. We also ask you to provide us with an itinerary of the day (times and events).

At this point we will also ask you to choose which editing style you would like us to use on your wedding film. The two options are our Cinematic edit and our Classic edit.

The Cinematic edit is available as part of our Signature and Cinematic wedding film packages. It is a 20-30 minute film in the same style as our highlights and incorporates different parts of your day in a non-chronological order to create a cinematic narrative.

Also included on the final DVD and Blu-ray discs are the fully edited ceremony, speeches, first dance and highlights.

Below is an example of a Cinematic edit we have produced:

The Classic edit contains your whole day in chronological order with each part of the day edited in full.

The length of the film depends on different factors such as the duration of the ceremony or the speeches which can vary in length from wedding to wedding.

One the big day itself, if you have bridal preparations included in your package, we will arrive two hours before the ceremony to start filming. Whilst one cameraman is at the bridal preparations a second will be at the ceremony venue capturing all the details and filming the arrival of the groom and guests.

Once we have edited your proof film we send out a DVD for you to watch, at this point if there are any changes to the film or music you have chosen, or that we have used then simply fill out the changes form and we will do our best to make those changes for you.

Blu-ray & DVD cover design – We ask that you provide five images for the design of your covers, one portrait for the front cover and four landscape for the back. Please make sure that you gain the copyright permission for the images from the person/company who took them.
